Denali National Park Alaska
Denali National Park of Alaska has covered around 6 million acre land and has acquired the recognition as the second largest National Park of United States of America. The National Park features wide river valleys, areas of tundra and high alpine ranges of mountains. The park is located at about 240 miles north of Anchorage.
Denali National Park accommodates variety of animals like wolves, moose, and caribou, bears who roam freely along with other smaller mammals which include squirrels, hoary marmots, and snowshoe hares. The private vehicles are not allowed beyond the Savage check station which is located at 14 miles of the Park Road. It is one of the most bike-friendly national parks; however the bicyclists are restricted to the designated to roads. The entire Denali National Park is surrounded by the Alaskan Range which offers other spectacular mountain ranges with many large glaciers.
The park is accessible easily by the car or by the rail routes from Anchorage or Fairbanks, or via Park Connection Motorcoach which offers daily summer service. There are many other ways to explore the unique and exciting Denali National Park such as 12-hour Kantishana Wilderness Trails Tour which covers entire 90 miles of the road. Tundra Wildlife Tour is also available which covers 50 miles of the park road.
